Years ago a neighbor woman showed up at my door at 6:30 am just after my husband left for work. In her hand she had a pair of her husbands slacks. The seam was split in the back and she said it was the only pair clean for him to wear to work and would I fix them. In spite of feeling annoyed, I pulled out my sewing machine and sewed up the split. As I was finishing she all of the sudden whipped off her blouse and said "oh while you are at it, would you fix the seam in my blouse?" YIKES.........
