My mother was a beautiful seamstress, but never quilted. She sewed my snowsuits out of old fur coats that were given to her. All of her sewing was done with no patterns. Same with her crocheting. I love to sew, but would never win any blue ribbons. I admire the beautiful work pictured here and then am happy to do my "best that I can" when I am at my machine.
