I was given a quilt at my baby shower (22 years ago), made from a pre-print....mostly mice on blues and pinks. My son has always treasured it. I don't think the color has anything to do with it in his case. For him it's more about how it came to be his. If I was making a baby quilt for a boy, I wouldn't shy away from purple at all. Of course my response is so late, you've probably finished the quilt by now! Congratulations on the new addition to the family!
