Well, my mother didn't sew, but she knitted, crocheted and did counted cross stitch. My sister was an excellent seamstress years ago. I got the gene from my mom. I don't know much about my dad's side. As far as my kids, they definitely got the gene from my side, because my husband's mother didn't do anything crafty.
