Both my grandmothers quilted. One did only utility and the other only fancy. One crocheted well, but not artistically. The other did just fantastic work and made up her own patterns. She also did the most awesome tatting, again making up her own patterns. My mom hated to sew. I guess it skipped a generation as I do all but tatting (drives me crazy). Neither of my daughters are interested in needlearts at all. Perhaps one of the granddaughters???
