Oh, oh! So, if this definition is "it" for what a "real" quilt is, then the first one I ever made is not a real quilt because it is a Donna Poster "foldy stuff" bed covering. It is done on a foundation and was so heavy when done for a double bed that no batting was used, just flannel backing.
