I have been working on the 301 this weekend. She needed cleaning, which I started but haven't finished. I oiled her really good underneath, as the feed dogs were sluggish. I ordered a new tension assembly, because the springs in hers are all worn and it wasn't working at all. I couldn't get it to stitch...the thread kept breaking due to tension...loops underneath then puckering fabric. I oiled the tensioner, but it won't move. I took it apart, and the spring is just dead.
