For stain removal... Always TEST in a small corner before putting ANYTHING on the entire thing. I don't know if this will work for your stain because I would assume you have no idea what the stain is. I have had success removing many stains with a mixture of Dawn dish soap and peroxide. On the things I have used this mixture on it does not bleach the color out, just the stain. I gently rub the mixture into the stain by hand, let it soak the stain out and then rinse in the washer.
