I hear you! For the first time this winter, they ate the evergreen shrubs right at the foundation of our house, right along the driveway. And they're old shrubs - so there's considerable doubt as to whether they will resprout well enough to look respectable, or if we will just have to replace them all.

With herbaceous perennials, probably, that die to the ground each fall giving the deer no reason to come near!
