I've seen a few patterns in magazines and books that boast that they are great 'stash busters' but then go on to give yardage requirements. That doesn't sound scrappy to me. To me scrappy is variety-lots of patterns, color, scale. However, I have trouble with them because I tend to get too hung up on too many reds, or not enough yellows...I love your avatar, by the way.
