I love bright colors for baby quilts. I read an article once that said babies who are surrounded by bright colors are more alert and tend to be smarter. The bright colors stimulate their brain. A disappearing 9 patch makes a nice quilt. You could use a nice focal fabric with animals and then tot or solids for the other parts.
