What is "foundation" method - piecing, etc? In the small world of quilting I was in years ago, (just getting back into it again) I never heard it mentioned.
Foundation piecing is sewing onto a background of some sort. The shape of the piece you sew onto is totally up to you. This background is your foundation. If you use paper for this, you would tear the paper away after it is covered with your fabric strips/shreds/scraps. Or not tear it away if you're so inclined! This is a neat way to use up small pieces of fabric that might end up getting tossed. Or you can totally plan what fabrics you sew onto the foundation for a more unified look. Try looking up "String Piecing" on this board or Google.

Sue :) :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH SUE - appreciate your response.

Have a blessed day
