I don't mind an anchor on a sailor's arm.. or a heart that says "MOM".. or even a butterfly on a young woman's shoulder, but what young people (and some older ones) are doing now just makes me sad.. Thousands of dollars invested and they are ALL over their bodies..
I saw a very pretty and shapely girl just yesterday with both arms, her entire chest down into her cleavage, all of her back as far as I could see, a big ugly vine winding up her leg out of her shoe, and a big round picture of something that looked like a centerpiece with 4th of July stars stuck into it on her upper thigh... She was young, in her 20's, and nice looking.. the tats are nice, smooth and colorful now. but can you just fast forward to when she is in her 60's.. oh my.. That is not going to look like it does now.. I hate to see it.. I will hate to see someone like that when they are in the 60's, 70's and 80's .. especially women (I know, don't yell at me please).
I wish they would stop and think about that.. and the fact that you just don't see anyone with an upper end job, or public figure, or television person looking like that.. Perhaps there are some, but not many.. While what a person looks like may not be the whole story, it is what people see first, and make a first judgement on. I think it behoves everyone to look as presentable as they can. Tattoos all over don't come across to the world like they do to these fad following folks.
