You should put it in the trunk at the previous stop. then drive to the next store and get out. Even if you have to pull in someplace to do it. Especially at Christmas shopping time. Thieves out looking then.

I always do this. When I tell others to do so also, they just laugh at me. But I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that follows/offers this advice :-).
