Hi, I got that book from the library today and looked up the pattern on page 194 - Kansas Sunflower and it is definitely not the same as the one in the older quilt. Kansas Sunflower is only one star with the sunflower appliqued in the center of that one star. There are alot of star blocks out there and they all look a little similar but there are differences.
