Years ago, I made quilts with polyester, and not knowing any better, I just cut big blocks and sewed them together. Now, I would probably stabilize them before cutting. I would definately do big blocks, because of the bulk in the seams. And believe me, they will last for YEARS. I just put a third backing on one that I had made for my daughter 20 years ago. Colors are a little faded, but still very warm. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Look forward to seeing pictures of finished quilts.
