one year I had switched from a hanging bottle type to a saucer type. THe female hummers learned right away to feed from it, took the males about a month tho figure it out. Now I have to go look for mine and get it out there. I have hummers that hover in front to the windows and peer in at me if I don't get the feeder out in time.
