If you're using the glass type that you fill and turn upside down, you have to fill it to the top and then push the cork in and make sure the fluid squirts out when you do this. It's like burping it. That is the only way to stop them from leaking. The directions never tell you to do this, but that's how they're made to work. I've never had a problem with the 5 that I use. I buy the blown glass ones that are so decorative. I love them! I soak the tubes and clean them out with a Q tip. Never had problems with ants or bees. Good luck in your search and trial!
