I did piece the tiny quilt using 3/4 inch strips. The squares are not very even, but I thought that made it suitable for a quilt that was spread out on a lawn! :wink: I embroidered the quote: The stars are wide and alive, they seem each like a smile of great sweetness, and they seem very near......and who shall ever tell the sorrow of being on this earth, lying on quilts on the grass, in a summer evening, among the sounds of the night.
That's lovely! Thanks - it was so small that I couldn't quite see the embroidered letters, and it's gorgeous! The quilt squares look even to me - - - :!:
