I have 4 and they all sew perfectly straight. That is one thing that I really like about them besides they travel well to classes or retreats. Also sew on one at home, leave one up in another room for a project which has no time limit. They are a super machine. Have them for a fews years already when they were low in price. I have one also which belongs to a freind in Australia, which they will pick up along with other articals when they come back this way on holiday.
