It's great that everyone is involved in designing the room, I hope you'll put up a picture of the finished room when it's done. There's something so nice about going into a cheerful room after you've been working hard all day, it just gives your spirits a huge lift.
I know you must be happy as heck to get someone to play (oops, sew) with.
My son was stationed in Cyprus for a few years, way back in the 70's-wrong it was the 80's. He loved it. He was 19 when he went there. I think I still have the earrings he brought me back.
