I use them in all my machines, even with the plastic drop in bobbin for my Janome. I never get the bird nest of thread anymore or the little jerk when the bobbin first starts turning. They last almost forever (if you don't drop it and can't find it). Remember to take the little spring thingy out of the metal bobbin case. It's easy to put back if you don't use the washer.
