One of things she did was go on an archaeological dig to Israel with her dad when she was 17. I tried to find some Hebrew/Jewish fabric. I finally found some on Ebay--I asked her which one she liked and then I paid the price the lady wanted. It was ridiculous--though I can't remember how much--maybe $5-10 or more for one FQ. (Thankfully I've forgotten--just remember that it was high.) The fabric was out of print and perfect for what we needed, though. All I needed was one 6" square. ;)
So, while I'd prefer to pay 99cents for one, I know, that given the right circumstances, I'll pay much more. No criticisms from me if you pay quite a bit because I know I have.
No criticism from me either, I was just surprised to see FQs sell for that much.did you post a photo of the quilt you made ? Sounds very interesting.
