I have a lower end Brother that I bought at Wal-Mart and I always had a hard time with seams being straight. I thought it was me until I got my new Janome for Christmas a couple of years ago. OMG! Like night and day. I had STRAIGHT seams. Not good 1/4" seams, but at least straight ones.
