My Brother XR7700 doesn't sew straight, and with the help of one of you nice quilters we figured out that the problem is with the feeddogs not being level. I am taking it to a repairman tomorrow.

Just wondered if I'm the only one with this problem on this machine?

    any help appreciated!

I haven't had problems with my Brother, but hope you get it fixed easily.

I have a Brother NX600 and no problems with it. Take that back, my threader went kaput about 1-2 years ago. Until something else goes wrong I'll manually thread it. Now worth the repair bill to do it now.

I have a brother NX400 on my way to a class I lost two of the buttons on the right of machine. To replace it will cost £300 (sorry I'm in England) So I keep sewing with it as it is not worth repairing at that price.

My Brother feed dogs wore out, according to the repairman. Not worth the cost to repair. Bought a Janome closer to home.

I have a lower end Brother that I bought at Wal-Mart and I always had a hard time with seams being straight. I thought it was me until I got my new Janome for Christmas a couple of years ago. OMG! Like night and day. I had STRAIGHT seams. Not good 1/4" seams, but at least straight ones.

Thanks Ladies... I was getting so discouraged! I started quilting because I wanted to make little tiny quilts, and just haven't been able to do them on this machine. Since I'm really careful, and somewhat of a perfectionist this was really bothering me. My self esteem was getting real low til somebody told me to check how the machine feeds. It goes in a huge circle if I don't keep shoving the fabric back...

Now I'm on the lookout for a good used Pfaff 7570 which has the IDT feeds. Wish me luck, as my budget is rather low for this...
