I got talked into a Bro. PE770D. I had nothing but prob. and I still don't like it. $750. It may be the operator.
I would def. recommend a 5 x 7 or larger hoop. Get the right kind of thread, stableizer, and some instructions (not just the manuals). I don't think it is good idea, unless you have a lot of money, to go with a very expensive machine at first. You can always upgrade later if you want to.
