The man holding the sale was selling off his parents' estate. His dad died last year, and his mom was just put into a nursing home. This man told me the sewing machine had been his grandmother's and was purchased just down the road from us, at what was a Western Auto store, back in the day. I'm calling the machine "Elba" after it's original owner. She took great care of it.

I got this little gem for the grand total of $10! They also had a Kenmore from around the late 60's, early 70's, but I passed on that one.
Love garage sales!!!!
