My first is a Genie 354 (serial number 72042228) I know she was made in France in the early to mid-'70's but can't find any official data as to manufacture (Singer site doesn't recognize anything this new without a letter in front of the number and Genie doesn't have a letter, anywhere). She was a gift from sister for my 16th birthday after she'd taught me to sew that previous summer. She's been through a dozen moves since I first left home for college and has only been overhauled once. Just keeps on keeping on.

My more recent acquisition is (I think) a 66 from Elizabeth NJ Aug 1915, G4138333. Had her cleaned and checked out by Bob my local (sort of) repair man and she works ;-). I need to find the retaining spring for the bobbin plate. Right now it just slides right off so I'm afraid to do any sewing with her. Found her at an estate sale for so cheap I couldn't walk away without her.
