WOW How scarey. I have always had a fear of a fire starting from an iron which is why I unplug when I am done. I have this beaded bracelet that was given to me and when I turn my iron on I put the bracelet on. If I still have the bracelet on and I am no longer sewing, I know I have left the iron on.
