Thank goodness you were home and DH was able to get to it right away.
I am thinking my Rowenta needs replacing after 11 years -- it is plugged into a lighted power strip that I turn off when I leave the room.
I have the machines plugged in but the power strips are on the floor -- I think I will be moving them so I can turn them off as well. I don't like unplugging because of the wear and tear on the plug (I sometimes turn off the iron 3 or 4 times a day)
