Most blocks will need sashing (and cornerstones, if you use them) on two contiguous sides, the blocks on one outside row and one outside column will require sashing on three sides and one corner block will require sashing on all four sides.

This is so much easier for me to handle than long strips.
Me too but sometimes the quilt I'm doing (like the one I have going right now) doesn't have cornerstones.
