I remeber fondly "snow days". Mom would set up the card table and we would do puzzles, play board games, and make crafts. Sometimes, the power would be out and we'd have to cook dinner in the fireplace.
When I was at her house this past month, she still has that card table! My dad and I were laughing because she won't let him throw it away.
I also remember all her speeding tickets--we still laugh about waking up in Tennessee to flashing blue lights at 4 am. As kids, sound asleep in the back of the woodie wagon, we thought the aliens had landed.
