Interesting question. Spiderwebs are supposed to be good luck. Perhaps you could try and do a spider web in a different color and or size in a random scatter all over the quilt. If it isn't already quilted or tied in some manner that would take care of that problem also. Please post a picture. If you haven't yet done the decortive stitching it would help us help you.
