And the pink one was for my mom for her May birthday because she always wanted to go to Paris. I'm working on a lime green one for my bff's birthday and moving away next week. I'll post that photo when done. It's my favorite, so I bought more fabric to make a matching one for ME (finally). It'll be great for CA beaches!!! Oh, and I omitted the button and used magnetic snaps instead - everyone is happier to be able to get in and out of the tote more easily and quickly.
Oh my - I'm so sorry you had to wait so long for a response. I'm such a scatterbrain sometimes. I start topics, then completely forget to check on them. And I don't get emails saying I have messages either. Anyway, the first couple of times was a bit difficult, but the tutorial with photos of the difficult steps really helped. Now I kind of do things in my own order. I agree, the pocket was mind boggling and it never really said when to attach it. And it never said to sew up the slit in the lining either. Guess they thought we should know that. I did on one, but not the others, thinking that the cardboard lining with sleeve I made would cover it well enough. Then I warned them that it would be better to spot clean than throw in the washer to avoid fraying. Guess I should have used Fray Check, but like I said, I can be scatterbrained, so did not do so. Going forward, I will, however. Good luck - you might get frustrated, but keep at it and you will be pleased with the results. Well worth the efforts and time.
