I'm so glad no one was hurt and there was so little damage.

Makes me miss my parent's house. They had a house fire when I was a small child and when they built their dream house, my mother insisted on a few features.

One feature was that in every room, the lower electric sockets were normal but the upper ones were all controlled by a wall switch. Anything that might possibly be hazardous was plugged into the top outlet and the wall switch was off unless there was someone in the room.

The other feature she insisted on was having all the electrical outlets in her sewing room installed four feet off the floor. That made it sooooo easy to just reach over and unplug everything when not in use. I'm surprised more people don't insist on this, it's so much easier on the back.
