I've wondered about this. Would the average thief know what a high end machine is worth? Would his cronies buy such a machine?

Around here, it is electronics that are what are in danger. I can't imagine the average hooligan around here stealing a sewing machine. They'd probably get kidded from their friends. Phones, mp3 players, even flat screen tvs...now that's a different story.

But I've thought about it...but then my Janome is so heavy...
I always hide my Bernina 640 ($5,000 machine!) when we go on vacation and replace it with my old Pfaff! I even hide the manual! Silly, I know, but I am just paranoid that way! LOL!
