my friend received one for Christmas and tryed it and hated it! Returned it. before I bought the long arm, I use to use the Basting spray...June Taylors at JoAnn's. I would wait until they had a sale for all the quilting supplies were on sale at 50% off. It works very well....I hated basting to! Good luck!
