My first wall hanging was a combination stamped embroidery with some machine channel quilting along the borders. Little did I know back then that the unevenly distributed weight of my stitching would cause a wavy border. I used the two sided sticky tape that I think another posted may have referred to in order to keep my borders from flapping around.

I recently decided it was time to hang something else in that space, but in taking it down noticed the sticky tape didn't want to come off. Hubby was afraid of pulling the paint off, so I called my housecleaning friend who knows all the secrets and asked her what she would recommend I use for this dilemma. She said, "Goo Gone". Folks, it worked like a charm!! You may need to apply it more than once, and let it soak in around the tape a bit, but the tape did come off cleanly, no marks and no residue from the Goo Gone - all in about 15 minutes time. My hero!
