The lettuce is crispier and the tomatoes taste like sunshine. The cukes are sweet and the pepper delightful. Everything is better homegrown. Peas and beans are ready now as well as lettuce and spinach. We have to wait a bit longer on some of the others yet here in Maine.

This may be silly to some, but when you live in Minnesota where the growing season is short and it has rained buckets here the last 2 days but today we picked fresh lettuce, zucchini, red onions and shorty carrots from our garden !!!
Hubby is washing it off now and I'm going to make big ol' Caesar salads for dinner. Yummmmmy!
