When I lived in the city, I took many classes to learn new techniques and to socialize. I met many very nice quilters and enjoyed the interaction during the classes. However; after retiring, I now live in the boonies and only occassionally take classes since it involves considerable driving time to the nearest quilt shop. So, I have evolved into being mostly a lone quilter. I do meet with a small group once a week and we exchange ideas and work on our own projects. I frequently come away with new ideas. That is the extent of my sociable quilting but I must say I do enjoy my time spent with the other quilters.
