There are lots of positive replies about the 6600 and MY NEW BABY WAS DELIVERED LAST NIGHT !!!!! She purrs along, I am so thrilled to have her. I have updated my machine from my first one -a Janome 4800 - then I got a Janome Gem ( great little workhorse and good for taking to classes etc) Then I got a Janome 9700 - traded it from my 4800. The throat wasn't big enough and I did not use the embroidery side of the machine like I thought I would. So I changed it and, on the advice of a friend, bought a Pfaff QE4. I just did not get on with it. Don't ask me why, it is a great machine, nothing wrong with it, I just didn't gel with it.
So listening to advice did not really help me, I should have sat and played with the machine in a shop myself.
Anyway, I am happy now, I feel as though I am back in the Janome family and am going to have lots of fun with my new baby. !!
