You should keep at it the way YOU had originally envisioned it.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, also.

When you first decided that you wanted to make this quilt, was it for you or for your husband? If this answer is *you* then you should please yourself. If it was for your husband, then I wouldn't blame you for taking his comments to heart. If the quilt was made for the family, then you should still do as you please. If your husband thinks there should be a blue sky tell him to learn to make his own quilt.
