I have had trigger finger surgery done on both my thumbs and all my fingers except my little fingers. My fingers were actually locking down and I would have to go to the doctor to have him release them. Believe me, the surgery is worth it. I have also had carpal tunnel surgery in both wrists. All this was a few years ago.
