I'm a newbee to the Featherweight Club. Have been looking for about 2 years - wasn't able to find a deal/steal. But I bought a one today for a fair price from a reputable sewing repair shop. The machine is newly serviced, a new power cord, a new case, and I even received training on placement of and threading the needle from the side, and on bobbin winding/placement. The machine was dropped off for service 2 years ago - owner never picked it up -- phone was disconnected recently so the repairman decided to sell the machine. I can use some advice on treating the peeled paint areas shown in photos below. I was advised to use Model Master paint to cover chips, but I think I need to treat the edges of the peeled area before painting. Advice appreciated.
