I think I'd add a narrow stop border...possibly a third (darker) shade of orange...in between the center pattern and the brick border. The two patterns as you have them don't mesh together evenly and a narrow band would make it less confusing.
I love your quilt! I completely agree with this though. Something needs to frame the center of the quilt to define and separate it from the border. The edges of the blocks as they are butted up against the border loose their impact a bit. But it is going to be AWESOME when you are done.
