I've been in 3 different Quilt Guilds and always had unpleasant experiences. I am a proud member of ASG and that's always a good experience. We have members that do different things so it's an interesting mix.
I never joined a quilt guild but am also a proud charter member of our chapter which has celebrated its 35th anniversary. We've had lots of good times and also some rough spots. After all, we're people. We do a variety of sewing including quilts. My friend and I are co-coordinators of our neighborhood group. If things get a bit too testy, I just stomp on 'em.
