I don't have to hide fabric......he buys as much as I do! We farm and truck. He loves to go into quilt shops on the road. It's not unusual for him to bring me home a kit of something he would like me to make. Some have been as high as $350.
On his last trip to N. Dakota he came home with two large bundles of top brand fat quarters in two colorways. Sometimes it's a book. Thank goodness he is starting to know what I like. My stash is recession proof. If we had no money to spend, I think I can safely say that I could quilt for at least 3-5 years before running out of fabric and thread. He's a keeper!
