Just say NO. Fabric has a way ot gaining access to your home, don't purposfully try to herd it in. My goal is to get RID of my stash, buying only enough to finish projects. I've been doing that for almost 3 years, and can't see a dent. Therefore, I'm sure it multiplies in the night.
