I have "fun money" which is around $200 a month. However, a few months a year there is an extra paycheck. I tend to save up my fun money such that I have at least $100 at any given time.
My fabric/quilting comes out of that, but so do a lot of other things.....books, fun things for the kids, etc.
DH also has his fund like this and it works for us!
