I love my 1600p DBX. It does have a thread cutter, but it's a "straight stitch" machine so you can't move the needle from side to side. It stitches up to 2600 stitches per minute as apposed to about 800 on the 6260 (which I have also). My 6260 is used for decorative stitches and some piecing. I also have a Janome Embroidery machine.
